Home Nursing/Personal Assistance
- Personal Care: Which involves showering, bed bathing, maintaining skin integrity, oral hygiene, assistance with shaving, application of compression stockings, assistance in getting dressed, care of hearing aids/dentures.
- Injections: Any type of injection as prescribed by your GP/Specialist.
- Blood Pressure: Monitor and check your blood pressure as per your GP/Specialist request.
- Specialised Nursing Care: Continence Care & Advice - Our nurses are able to give you information, advice and leaflets on your continence needs. We have access to sample continence products to assist you in choosing the correct type of product for your needs. Wound Care (including Negative Pressure Wound Therapy) - Our Registered Nurses & Endorsed Enrolled Nurses can monitor and dress your wounds in the comfort of your own home. We work closely with specialists and GP's regarding your wound care needs. We also stock a wide variety of dressings. Our nurses are constantly updating their skills & training to keep up to date on new products and techniques to assist in wound healing. Immunisations - Our qualified Registered Nurses are able to do any of your immunisations in the comfort of your own home. Other Specialised Nursing Care includes Comprehensive Nursing Assessments, Post Acute Care, Tracheostomy Care, Nasogastric & Gastrostomy feeding, Cancer Support, Catheterisation & Catheter Care/ongoing Management, Colostomy & Stoma Care, Bowel Care (including enemas), assist with Oxygen, and Case Management.
- Medication Supervision: Our staff are able to assist in the application of eye drops, prompting of medication from Webster paks and application of medicated ointments/creams/lotions.
- Post Surgical Care: All areas of care relevant to your surgery. This would involve personal care assistance, application of stockings, monitor and care of wound, removal of sutures and medication prompting.
- Palliative Care: We offer clients the opportunity of being able to palliate in the comfort of their own homes. Our staff are able to ensure a stress free and supported transition from hospital to home by offering services relevant to their needs. We are able to offer Sponge baths, pressure care and administration of medications. We work closely along side the Community Health Palliative Care Team (for further information please click on: North Coast Area Health or Hunter New England Health) enabling you to remain in the comfort of your own home.
- Diabetes Management & Support: We are able to monitor your BGL's and prompt/administer insulin. Our qualified staff are able to provide education and information regarding Diabetes.
